Bone Marrow Registry..

I have always wanted to sign up for the bone marrow registry, and for whatever reason, I never did.. Until yesterday.
They are letting you join the registry, free of charge, until June 22nd. Everyone should join. It's fast, and easy, and free!! (usually it's $50 for the swab kit, not a high price to pay to help save a life) Here's the site..

The Rhode Island Blood Center often holds marrow registration drives in New Hampshire where potential donors are registered free of charge.

We are able to bill health insurance providers for the cost of the tissue typing required to place someone on the national registry. For those without health insurance, our sponsor Michael's Fund of Fall River, Massachusetts covers the cost of the tissue typing.

If anyone is interested in hosting a marrow donor registration drive, please contact me for more information.

Thank you so much for registering! You could be the match that saves a life!

we registered a couple of years ago, essentially for free, a donation to help cover costs was optional.

I registered last year at a bone marrow drive in town. I got a card in the mail and I am now in the national registry. I sometimes wonder if I'll ever "get that call". I can't think of any gift greater than what this would mean to someone who is sick.
